• My favorite machines were DEC's PDP-10 and DECsystem-20. At least until May 17, 1983, when the line was killed (actually the follow-on processor Jupiter was killed, but that killed the product line). Trailing edge... that's it.
• Way back when, B Gates and P Allen used DecSystems for their early work. This enabled Mr Allen to support the PDP Planet
• Also on DEC-10 and DEC-20 systems was a cool database package. Cool for 1975, at least. Software House System 1022
