Yes, we are all engineers
It is genetic. My father, Andrew H. Farrell was a college trained
Architectural Engineer (Iowa State, '34). My grandfather on my mom's
side, Harry Andrew Scogin, was a steam locomotive train engineer for
Union Pacific railroad.
Bonnie's father was a trained Electrical Engineer. Three of my
brothers are Professional Engineers (all Mechanical).
I even spent all of my undergraduate education in the ME department
at Virginia Tech, and my first job
after graduation was as an Engineer. Then I turned over to the dark
side, and became a software engineer. As did my little
brother
